bad news

Dad called this morning, chipper as a blue jay, saying mom is doing well, and will be off the respirator soon. Then later Judith called to say that mom had a seizure when they tried to take her off the respirator, and now maybe her arm doesn't move. They don't know if she's had a stroke, and she's in the cue for a MRI and CT scan. One of the scanners is down, so she's waiting her turn. I guess they forgot that time lost is brain lost when a stroke is evolving.

I've covered my days at the hospital here, and will fly back to Texas early in the morning. I'm upset. I'm cleaning my office. Dixie Chicks. Have a listen.
